Basic Function Summary:

Administers property control program activities for the T-45 Program to ensure continual accountability of company, government, or associate contractor, property, and assets in accordance with applicable corporate policy or government regulations. Ensures property accountability records are maintained and determines the condition and arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment. Contacts potential users and negotiates transfers. Conducts property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies. Provides guidance on the company policy and government regulations pertaining to property accountability. Prepares periodic and special purpose reports relative to such matters as taxes, rentals, leasing, insurance, facility usage, etc.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Oversees IMRL/Property Control Programs at all T-45 Sites;
  • Serves as Vertex POC for all matters pertaining to the management or acquisition of IMRL (GFP/CFP);
  • Prepares program CDRLs as assigned;
  • Assists program/sites with requests for assistance;
  • Performs/Assists audits at each Site for compliance and effectiveness;
  • Direct Site IMRL/Property staff in establishing effective operation and administrative procedures and department objectives and monitor performance within their department.
  • Establish program property operating policies and procedures in line with current instructions and directives.
  • Communicates with government customers, Vertex managers, and site supervisors. Communicates with Vertex contracts, subcontracts, and outside vendors when required. This may include communications ranging from daily verbal and email communication to the development of processes and written procedures;
  • Comply with reporting requirements to the Government and the T-45 Program Manager as required;
  • Establish and maintain written procedures for the proper control of Government Furnished Property.
  • Demonstrates independent decision-making.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and +6 years of directly related experience in inventory control of parts, materials, tools, and/or equipment OR Education/Experience equivalent (Associate's Degree AND +10 years of directly related experience in inventory control of parts, materials, tools, and/or equipment OR H/S Diploma AND +14 years of related experience in inventory control of parts, materials, tools, and/or equipment.)
  • Understand Quality systems, including a full understanding of OPNAV INST 4790.2 or other DoD Service equivalent, OEM Instructions, and ISO 9001.
  • Must possess extensive working knowledge of contracted programs, company organization, and policies.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Extensive working knowledge of contracted programs, contract administration, aircraft maintenance, business administration, specialized knowledge of customer requirements, company organization, and policies.
  • SAP Knowledge desired.
  • As a government contractor, Vertex Aerospace requires all employees to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment in accordance with Executive Order 14042.   • Serves as POC for NAS Kingsville for LMIS/ERP questions
  • Serves as the main liaison between NASK and Madison
  • Acts as PMO representative at NASK for further LMIS integration
  • Maintains records, conducts analysis, and brief management of LMIS/ERP status in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Creates inventory documents to support cycle count and wall-to-wall inventories.
  • Conducts analysis to identify missing materials to make certain that physical inventory matches virtual inventory. Provide inventory accuracy reports as required.
  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
  • All other tactical duties as assigned
Licensing, Certification Requirements:

  • Valid State Drivers License
Physical Demands:

This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
