LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $32.18 per hour

Summary:

    Provide technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to minimize schedule impact. Implement process changes to reduce costs and meet schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards.

    May act as Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician to ensure safety and quality goals are met.

    Demonstrate technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.

    Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems according to engineering specifications and maintenance manuals.

    Ensure quality and efficiency of installations; troubleshoot processes to provide timely, quality repairs.

    Repair or replace defective components and wiring to meet conformity standards.

    Use effective repair techniques, including splicing, soldering, and pinning.

    Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications.

    Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests.

    Document all work accurately and prepare for inspection.

    Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.

    Adhere to company FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and safety regulations.

    Adapt to sudden schedule changes.

    Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

    Perform other assigned duties.

Required Skills:

    High School Diploma or GED required.

    Four years of experience in avionics/electrical fields, or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus two years of related experience.

    A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC, and NCATT certifications preferred.

    Preferred proficiency in other aircraft systems or disciplines (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls).

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
