Tool & Fixture Specialist C

• Perform complex tool setup activities (e.g., alignment, leveling).
• Perform visual inspections on tools using appropriate documentation.
• Make major repairs.
• Manufacture assembly and fabrication tools using various manual and computer controlled machines, hand tools and precision alignment equipment.
• Operate various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required.
• Provide tooling support to other organizations.
• Design various part fabrication and assembly tools per part engineering drawings or customer requests to enable production using computer or paper tool design processes.
• Determine fabrication and assembly processes for the design.
• Reverse engineers designs and fabrication processes for parts.
• Demonstrate functionality of complex fabrication and assembly tools to approving authority by manufacturing first part with new tool.
• Resolve problems with tool to produce acceptable parts and assemblies.
• Work under general direction.
