- Perform complex tool setup activities (e.g., alignment, leveling).
- Perform visual inspections on tools using appropriate documentation.
- Make major repairs.
- Manufacture assembly and fabrication tools using various manual and computer controlled machines, hand tools and precision alignment equipment.
- Operate various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required.
- Provide tooling support to other organizations.
- Design various part fabrication and assembly tools per part engineering drawings or customer requests to enable production using computer or paper tool design processes.
- Determine fabrication and assembly processes for the design.
- Reverse engineers designs and fabrication processes for parts.
- Demonstrate functionality of complex fabrication and assembly tools to approving authority by manufacturing first part with new tool.
- Resolve problems with tool to produce acceptable parts and assemblies.
- Work under general direction.
