What You’ll Do:
- Lead activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
- Lead development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.
- Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Provide technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.
- Lead development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.
- Plan, execute and document software research and development projects.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
- Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
- Work under minimal direction.
- Utilize Java, JavaScript, Python, and Angular software languages to develop satellite ground control systems.
- Utilize Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher RKE.
- Utilize microservice containerized software architecture.
- Agile Development within a cross-discipline team.
- Continuous integration, testing, and delivery within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Decompose complex requirements and capabilities into executable discrete user stories.
What You’ll Need:
- 9 or more years of experience in software engineering.
- 5 or more years of experience coding in Java or JavaScript.
- Experience with microservice software architecture.
- Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment using Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools.
- Experience developing microservices in Java Spring Framework.
- Experience developing software in a CI/CD pipeline.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry combined with 9 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
