What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
- Compile and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.
- Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
- Validate contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
- Perform studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.
- Responsible for developing and implementing solutions within the production system that spans multiple asset classifications including, but not limited to, multi-program Standard Tools, program specific Contract Tools, Capital Equipment, and Shop Hardware.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders for concurrence across multiple disciplines and organizations.
- Navigate the entire lifecycle management of production assets from conceptual design and requirements definition through configuration control and retirement. In addition to project management and asset design, the engineer will also serve as a liaison to the manufacturing teams in order to resolve emergent issues within the production system, such as repairing or replacing a damaged tool.

- 5-9 years related experience; does not need to be aerospace

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry combined with 5 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
