LaSen is seeking an experienced Helicopter A&P Mechanics to join our maintenance team working to maintain our fleet of 5 Bell Jet Ranger helicopters each aircraft flying about 500 to 600 hours a year. The primary focus of this position is field maintenance of the aircraft, in support of ongoing LaSen contractual requirements.  You do not have to reside in Las Cruces or New Mexico, prefer someone in the Denver area.
 
Job Description:
The primary focus of this position is field maintenance of the aircraft, in support of ongoing LaSen contractual requirements. Typical duties include supporting maintenance operations, scheduled and unscheduled on our fleet of Bell 206’s. Uphold FAA FAR’s, adhering to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance program and LaSen's Maintenance Procedures Manual.  Maintenance is performed as aircraft time out and takes place at FBOs across the United States. This position will be focused in Colorado, Southern United States, and the Midwest. Travel is required, 120 days in one calendar year, and will not exceed 150 days. Mechanics will be provided a company truck and support trailer for all LaSen operations. Hotel provided during travel as well as full GSA-M&IE rate from the first day of travel out through day of travel home. Flexibility is expected from our mechanics as the work schedule may include changes due to operational constraints such as weather and unscheduled maintenance. 
Job Requirements:
Qualifications/Licenses:
FAA A&P Certificate. (Issued at least 24 months prior to application date is Preferred)
Driver’s license with good driving record.
Pass pre-employment and ongoing drug testing.
Pass pre-employment background check.
Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
High-quality standards with attention to detail.
 
Required Skills/Experience:
24 Months of Helicopter maintenance experience.  
Applicant must have their own Basic hand tools and shadow boarded within 2 months of employment.  
 
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with Bell 206B & L models.
Documented Bell or Rolls Royce factory training on any of the above-mentioned airframes and/or engine training  
Prior Military Aviation Experience  
Prior USFS mechanic card for the Bell 206  Experience maintaining a helicopter away from an operator’s principal base of operations.  
 
Compensation:
The Starting Salary/ Pay is 60-72k depending on experience.  Per diem paid based on GSA rates, Company Credit Card to be used for company expenditures during travel. 401k, Health, PTO, Life, Small moving allowance. Possible Bell or Rolls Royce school after 1 year of
employment.
 
LaSen’s aviation department owns and maintains all 5 helicopters in our fleet. LaSen was founded in 1989 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. LaSen started out developing laser technology for the United States Air Force Research Laboratory. In 2004 LaSen completed the development of an airborne methane leak detection system and began commercial operations in 2005. Since then, LaSen has inspected more than 500,000miles of gas pipelines in the U.S and Canada.
