CANADIAN STRUCTURE TECHNICIAN

A $10,000 Bonus will be paid out over a 12-Month Period in Four Installments:
You will be eligible for $2,000 the last business day of the third month following your hire date.
You will be eligible for $2,000 the last business day of the sixth month following your hire date.
You will be eligible for $2,000 the last business day of the ninth month following your hire date.
You will be eligible for $4,000 the last business day of the twelfth month following your hire date.
Note: You must be in good standing in order to receive the bonus. Meaning, no performance concerns, attendance issues, etc.

Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for CANADIAN STRUCTURE TECHNICIAN in TUCSON, AZ

Responsibilities:
As a Structures Technician, you will be required to:

Remove / install aircraft components as required.
Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures and aircraft component repair.
Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.
Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations as required.
Inspect confined areas of airframe and assist in providing time estimates as required.
Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experience.
Minimum of 1 year of corporate / commercial jet experience.
Completed Sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent Training.
FAA A&P license OR "A” license is strongly preferred.
Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status.
Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

Job Type:

Full-time, Contract
Shift Hours: 1^st Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 2^nd Shift 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM - Candidate must be willing to work either shift. Overtime is available.
Contractor Lodging: MHI is offering a maximum of 14 nights in a nearby hotel. Room and tax only will be paid. The technician is responsible for all other charges.

Essential Job Functions

Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
Must be computer proficient.
Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
