Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, servicing, defect rectification and issue certification for Cathay and Air Hong Kong aircraft as rostered.
- Perform ground-based aircraft health monitoring before arrival to assess aircraft serviceability and respond accordingly.
- Perform additional aircraft maintenance as requested by Cathay Maintenance Control and Maintenance Control Planning Hong Kong as appropriate to qualification.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, servicing, defect rectification and issue certification for third party customer’s aircraft as applicable.
- Perform onsite oversight to performance of the ground handling third party suppliers at the responsible stations – base station and partner station(s).
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Perform relief and other operational duties on other stations as requested.
- Keep up to date with the aircraft systems, technology, regulatory requirements, processes and procedures.
- Supervise the shift to ensure the team is able to deliver a safe, efficient, and effective operation.
- Perform other duties and projects as reasonably directed by the Engineering Manager.
- Requires 50 of domestic and international travel.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or foreign equivalent in Aircraft Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aircraft Electronics, or a related Aircraft Maintenance/Technology field.
- Five (5) years of experience as an Aircraft Engineer, Aircraft Mechanic/Technician, or in a related Aircraft Maintenance role.
- In lieu of an Associate’s degree and five (5) years of experience, will accept two (2) years of academic studies toward a US Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Aircraft Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aircraft Electronics, or a related Aircraft Maintenance/Technology field and five (5) years of experience as an Aircraft Engineer, Aircraft Mechanic/Technician or in a related Aircraft Maintenance role.
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
Experience with:
- Aircraft maintenance and ground handling activities, including release of aircraft;
- Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (CAD) airworthiness regulations;
- Categories B1.1 - HKAR-66, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 66, or any equivalent aircraft maintenance license acceptable per HKAR-2; and
- Airbus A330 and/or A350 and/or Boeing 777 aircraft rating.
Benefits
Salary: $109,200 - $148,902 /year
