Job Description:

The Base Lead Pilot supervises all activities of the flight crew for their respective bases and may assist others in completing their assigned duties and functions. The Base Lead Pilot is supervised by, and reports directly to, the Chief Pilot and is wholly responsible for all activities at his or her base.

 

The Base Lead Pilot supervises the flight crews of their respective bases directly.

 

The Base Lead Pilot shall meet minimum qualifications as specified by Federal Aviation Regulation Part 119.71(c) or be deemed qualified by both the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations.

 

 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Works closely with the Chief Pilot to ensure all operations are compliant with Federal Aviation Regulations, AirMed International’s General Operations Manual, and the AirMed International Operations Specifications.
  • Directs flight crews in their activities and assigns collateral duties as may be required.
  • Schedules crews for his/her base and submit schedules to the Chief Pilot for formal approval.
  • Assists the Chief Pilot in crew training and in the scheduling of crew training
  • Works in coordination with respective base lead technician to ensure compliance with interior and exterior aircraft cleaning program.
  • Monitors crew compliance with flight and duty time record keeping and ensures records are current and accurate.
  • Ensures flight logs are printed and accurate for base aircraft.
  • Collects and disseminates flight advisory information to flight crews.
  • Maintains Jeppesen manual revisions and ensures they are current.
  • Ensures flight crews are knowledgeable of and adhere to the Company Manual, General Operations Manual, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assists with expense reporting for base aircraft.
  • Assumes other duties as may be assigned.

 

 

MINIMUM JOB

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Las Vegas, NV
  • Must hold, or be able to attain, C90 Certification
  • Must be a current, regular full time, or part time AirMed International employee
  • Employed for at least six months in current position
  • Performance meets or exceeds standards or established work standards in current position
  • Does not have any corrective action or employee counseling within six months
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Must meet all physical demands of the pilot position he or she currently holds
  • Must display sufficient time and task management skills in order to accomplish administrative duties in a timely manner alongside pilot duties
