Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated tax professional to join our team. The position supports the Domestic Tax Administration team within Enterprise Operations Corporate Tax Organization and performs tasks related to income tax compliance, long-range plan forecasts, and accounting for income taxes pursuant to ASC740. The position is responsible for, but not limited to following:
• Performs tasks under limited supervision related to income tax compliance, such as returns, extensions, forecasts, and tax provisions for business sectors
• Develops and maintains relationships between Corporate Tax and Business Areas to ensure Corporate Tax has a well-informed view of business operations
• Supports Tax Accounting, Forecasting, External Reporting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision and related disclosures.
• Computes tax provision for income taxes, and reconciles deferred tax balances including fixed assets during quarterly financial closes and annual return
• Preparation of Federal/State corporate and partnership returns
• Assists with corporate tax initiatives
• Supports the tax budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of state estimated payments
• Assists tax manager with special projects such as information technology initiatives and certain business acquisitions & dispositions
• Provides support in researching new and existing tax laws and regulations to ensure minimization of the corporate tax burden
• Identifies automation and improvement of processes to increase efficiency
• Resolves IRS and state notices
• Assists tax manager with gathering information for financial statement, IRS, and state audits
• Other duties as assigned

The role will be a hybrid role with at least 1 day a week in the office to collaborate with others and connect with leaders across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of US tax law
• Demonstrated knowledge of ASC740
• Federal and state corporate tax compliance experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and able to execute projects and meet deadlines
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail is critical
• Intermediate or advanced level proficiency of MS office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
• CPA or Masters Degree
• Familiarity with a tax provision and compliance software (CorpTax, Thomson Reuter’s OWM software, Checkpoint, and other)
• Experience with Alteryx
• Demonstrated ability to create presentations and present message effectively

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
