Analyst, Strategic Sourcing (Airports Experience) (LSC)
 

Position Summary:

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst (Airports Experience) is responsible for partnering with JetBlue’s Airports Experience team in the planning, development, and execution of strategic sourcing projects and related initiatives. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst leverages analytics and market intelligence to identify cost optimization opportunities in the sourcing of goods and services. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will work closely with the Airports Services & Planning and Airports Operations teams on the development and management of Airports business partner strategies, as well as activities throughout the sourcing lifecycle, including contract management and performance management.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Executes strategic sourcing projects (using standard sourcing methodologies) leading a grouping (region) of 20+ airport locations
  • Proactively monitors market trends that impact spend category and adapts strategies to mitigate risk
  • Analyzes historical spend to assist in the development of supply management and channel strategies
  • Performs analysis of category spend to assist in the development of sourcing strategies for the assigned category
  • Partners with business units and legal teams in the negotiation of contracts and agreements
  • Identifies sourcing opportunities to obtain optimal value for JetBlue and respective business units by estimating cost savings benefits and evaluating strategic sourcing performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Supports internal airports stakeholders to ensures compliance with operational requirements, internal controls and regulations
  • Partners with business units in developing budgets for external spend to identify risks and opportunities
  • Partners with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) on reviewing category spend to ensure budget compliance
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:
:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of strategic sourcing, airport leadership or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel through a work sample
  • Proficiency in procurement and strategic sourcing processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (minimum Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proficient negotiation skills; track record of capturing value and savings
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Aviation, Finance or Engineering; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • Relevant experience managing airport business partner relationships
  • Relevant experience in an airport operations environment
  • Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate complex contractual documents such as Statements of Work (SOW) and Master Service Agreements (MSA)

 

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $62,400.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
