Tasks & responsibilities Communication Specialist

This job opening comes in two flavours: you can make a difference in both internal communications and public affairs. At Airbus Netherlands the Communications specialist is responsible for creating and delivering compelling employee-oriented content and for contributing to programmes with the goal to actively and positively engage Airbus NL&39;s internal audiences. Reporting to the Manager Marketing & Communications and working closely with the local senior management, the Communications Specialist translates business strategies into organisational messages, develops appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of these strategies, and executes and drives programmes that create excitement, support change, drive engagement, align teams and shape our culture. And there is more. By collaborating closely with the Public Affairs Manager, this job opportunity blends these communications tasks with impactful public affairs work, offering a dynamic platform to engage with diverse stakeholders and shape meaningful narratives.

Profile of our ideal candidate

• Excellent oral and written communications skills, including superior copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.

• Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven and collaborative.

• A strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with external and internal partners, and staff across all departments, at all levels.

• Demonstrated ability to think analytically and develop solutions that meet the needs of the organisation and/or target group.

• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high quality results on-time and on-budget.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Proactive, hands on way of working / antenna to signal opportunities. 

Requirements

• A BSc. or MSc. degree in Communication, Communication Sciences, Journalism or a similar study

• 5&43; years of professional experience in the field of (internal) communications

• Experience in Public Affairs is a plus

• Native Dutch and fluent in English (verbally and written)

• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google suite
