Seeking a candidate with experience in Configuration Management (CM) processes, processes, and tools. The CM candidate will be supporting Undersea Submarine Warfare (USW) market segment programs that involves developing and implementing lifecycle CM requirements, plans, processes, and procedures.

The candidate will work with all engineering disciplines to ensure proper baseline management of engineering products that make up the performance and design requirements including those work products produced by system level Integration & Test, and production. Responsible for managing subcontractor Configuration Management (CM) interfaces, requirements, and product deployments. Candidate supports all aspects of the LM Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) engineering change review and approval process, including processing Problem Reports (PRs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Co-chairs or independently chairs Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). Lead CM review of engineering documents such as parts, cable, and mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials, and other related work products.

Candidate is responsible for identifying and implementing innovative methods, tools, and process improvements for business programs and new opportunities. Other responsibilities include preparing, and reporting CM budgets, leading CDM cost proposal or new business activities, participating in customer meetings, and developing staffing plans.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Experience in Configuration Management and engineering change management.
• Must have a basis understanding of life-cycle CM activities.
• The candidate must have the ability to apply CM principles in a development and production environment.
• Demonstrated background and experience (min 2-3 years) in a lead or key configuration management role with experience in change management.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in engineering drawings, parts lists, Bill of Materials (BOM) as well as standard drafting practices.
• Have an understanding or knowledge of related disciplines, particularly familiarization with Hardware Engineering methods and processes.
• Can conduct and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) to manage changes to product baselines.
Have some experience with processing Class I & II Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and related processes.
• Must have the ability to interface with, and build strong relationships with, multiple levels of management, subcontractors, customers (internal/external), and various program disciplines.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proven or developing leadership skills including ability to manage projects, tasks, and coordinate work assignments for others.
• Demonstrated high level of computer literacy in standard tools including MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, and other Enterprise collaborative data repositories (i.e., Windchill).
• Qualified candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated experience with RMS Configuration & Data Management (CDM) processes, tools, and knowledge of CDM command media.
• Have experience in the EPDM tool and workflow process, as well as SharePoint, Excel, and Windchill is highly desirable.
• Experience providing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for costing activities (i.e., proposals).
• Demonstrated Earned Value Management (EVM) experience including Work Package Management and Control Account Management (CAM) skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team, in a self-directed manner and independently make quick, accurate decisions for engineering changes to drawings, models and other engineering baseline documents.
• Mil-Handbook 61 and SAE EIA 649 standard is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to interface with and work well across functional teams and peers, and able to energize the team.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication, coordination, and planning skills. Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task and delegate work as required.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
