This position serves as the Continuous Improvement Specialist - Sensor Portfolio, reporting to the Executive Director of the Sensor Portfolio and interfacing and supporting all directorates in Sensor Operations.  The Continuous Improvement Specialist will serve as the facilitator and/or lead for numerous organization initiatives and projects across Sensor Operations.  In addition, this role will support similar activities for the Director of Operations of the Radio Frequency Technologies (RFT).  As a member of the Sensor Operations leadership team, this position will work closely with Make Center Directors, Factory Operations Managers, Production Control Leaders, and supporting Cross Functional teams to solicit and organize information and assist with day-to-day operations.  This position requires discretion and safeguarding of sensitive personnel, business, and proprietary information.

This is a rotational role with typical assignment lasting 18 months.

What You Will Do

  • Solicit and gather information/data from multiple sources and synthesize into concise executive level briefings.
  • Maintain standard work and facilitate Ops Review, Staff meetings, Tier V, All-Hands and sessions related to goal alignment.
  • Act as the CORE focal for the RFT and Sensor Portfolio organizations and maintain domain artifacts: SIPOC, Maturity Assessment, MFA, Macro Plan, Control Tower, CORE Control Room, etc.
  • Represent the executive director when necessary, conveying their directives and decisions clearly and accurately.
  • Act as liaison between the executive director and other teams, departments, functions, organizations, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documents required by the executive director and directors.
  • Prioritize requests and actions based on critical business needs.
  • Lead org wide initiatives, special projects, and strategic assignments as directed by the executive director.
  • Effectively work multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain Raytheon-wide support networks to facilitate and leverage the broad resources available.
  • Manage and streamline communications for the entire Sensor Portfolio organization, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Assist across the portfolio to ensure collaboration.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and 5 years’ experience of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
