Purpose of Position
Were looking to add a high-impact engineer to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for the leader in private aviation. You will contribute to multiple projects (green-field, brown-field, and retrofits) simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval and building working proof of concepts. You will have autonomy to apply your cutting-edge skillsets to build creative solutions and derive business value. You will have an impactful role in defining the direction for the industry.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate across the organization for "one-team initiatives that require multiple groups to deliver
  • Drive and influence a testing automation mindset and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into their product delivery team.
  • Influence and drive stabilization, resilience, and technical hygiene of relevant applications
  • Influence and drive delivery of technical solutions in an Agile environment (TDD, CI/CD) with a focus on continuous improvement and solution quality
  • Collaborate on and influence technical direction for relevant applications Support mission critical (24x7) applications with the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement reducing production outages/incidents while driving stability and reliability
  • Provide technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the definition, design, development, integration, test and documentation of the product and its features in alignment with established technology and architectural standards.
  • Drive implementation of software thru analysis and design activities for new business features or value-based enhancements to existing software.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, cyber security, and others to implement architectures that encompass broad perspectives and requirements.
  • Develop and code new business features and/or the modification of existing software applications.
  • Build software and code to manage infrastructure to operate applications at scale and performance.
  • Automate build, test, and deploy pipelines.
  • Perform insightful code reviews and take ownership of the outcome.
  • Provide high level estimates during the planning process to keeps teams moving forward on execution of established roadmaps or in support of the companys software development process.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role leveraging languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or React
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, CDK
  • Experience delivering solutions using Agile development practices following the Scrum framework
  • Knowledge of relational database structure and design
  • Ability to create and modify SQL queries
