ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY ANALYST

The role of the EHS Analyst is to support the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) organization in management of data streams. As an EHS Analyst, you are accountable to have a deep understanding of safety applications and communication methods of EHS data. You will work with the EHS teams and other stakeholders to ensure the effective collection, visualization, analysis, and communication of data used to meet EHS objectives across all SpaceX business functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze data related to environmental monitoring, incident reports, and safety performance to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with EHS teams across all sites to maintain protocols for use of safety applications
  • Create engaging monthly EHS performance reports for SpaceX leadership to drive continuous EHS improvement
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of OSHA recordkeeping logs
  • Use analytical skills such as interpreting data, identifying trends, manipulation and communication of data
  • Monitor incoming safety reports and ensure timely processing through the work flow
  • Assist in the creation of ad hoc data analysis to support dynamic business needs
  • Assist in EHS software improvements with programming teams, ensuring that software applications are agile, intuitive, and powerful
Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, EHS project management, and/or EHS coordination

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of SQL, PowerBi, and databases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience creating data visualizations and metric presentations
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to multi-task, to manage shifting priorities, and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area
  • Position requires ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
EHS Analyst/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year
EHS Analyst/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
