This position may require interactions with the customer base including USAF, Australia, UK, Turkey, Korea, and others that will want to join the family. The position may also include briefings to both engineering and program leadership. It also includes the responsibility to work across the Airborne, Ground & International software teams to maximize synergies and drive common solutions that will improve Boeing’s ability to efficiently and effectively execute in the Software Configuration Management space.
Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports software integration by executing test procedures of moderately-complexity code to identify and document problems
Uses software tools to generate software products (e.g., software builds, requirement specifications, design documents) and solve problems
Designs, constructs, documents and checks moderately-complex software code using software development environment tools and programming languages
Executes and documents the results of moderately-complex software tests
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and analyzes data to support assessment of software performance/function
Collects and inputs data for software metrics
Works under general direction
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in scripting and programming (bash shell, PERL, etc.)
3+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python
3+ years of experience with Software Development Processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Software Configuration Management
Experience with Military Software Development for airborne weapons systems
Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 3 or more years of equivalent technical experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.).
