Boeing is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Analysts to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an exciting opportunity of hands-on instrumentation and data acquisition design, build and installation on Boeing’s strategic bomber, surveillance, and tanker aircraft programs.

The ideal candidate should work well under pressure, have excellent communication skills, leadership, interpersonal, organizational skills, and be detail oriented.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level, Lead or Senior Flight Test Instrumentation Analysts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports instrumentation engineers in defining requirements, developing trade studies, and performing analyses

  • Evaluates and recommends methods, processes, procedures and tools for instrumentation design and installation

  • Supports the development of electrical and mechanical schematics

  • Coordinates, on aircraft or in lab, fabrication, integration, modification, setup, checkout, and teardown

  • Supports interpretation of test requirements and determination of test instrumentation methodology

  • Support parts procurement and kitting of flight test instrumentation kits

  • Integrates test hardware, software, bench testing and systems checkout per engineering drawing and documents

  • Troubleshoots and resolves instrumentation system, transducer, and test-related problems

  • Supports installation of instrumentation on aircraft (e.g. wire bundles, transducers, strain gauges)

  • Works with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement test solutions

  • Supports the maintaining lab assets

  • Self-starter that works under different levels of supervision

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with commercial and/or military aircraft avionics

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally 25 of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of commercial and/or military technical education and experience

  • Experience supporting planning for test activities

  • Experience with data acquisition systems

  • Experience operating with precision test and measurement devices

  • Commercial and/or military aerospace certifications in avionics (e.g. A&P FAA, electrical)

  • Experience with avionics design, build, installation, maintenance or troubleshooting

  • Technical or operational leadership experience

Typical Education/Experience: 

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience, 9 years related work experience, etc.).

Lead (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience, 13 years related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience, 18 years related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for mid-level: $85,000 – $115,000

Summary pay range for lead level: $106,250 – $143,750

Summary pay range for senior level: $126,650 – $171,350
