Principal Duties / Responsibilities:
• Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers employee relations and retention, compensation, absences and health issues, wellness initiatives, records management, compliance, labor relations and all other personnel transactions.
• Work to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations; work with other management members to help ensure equitable compensation for all employees; review job descriptions and recommend wage grade placements.
• Handle administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire-orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS).
• Manage employee advocacy and conflict resolution.
• Investigate complaints of discrimination and any other suspected policy violations; conduct follow-up after investigation is concluded. Also, act as a company representative with both the Department of Labor representatives and/or the EEOC as required.
• Improve, implement and administer human resources policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in human resources, general business or related field.
• Two (2) years of private sector experience supporting hiring and/or career opportunity initiatives, employee relations, compensation, benefits, discipline applicability and policy interpretation.
• One (1) year HRIS Software experience (UKG preferred)
• Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to maintain and protect confidential information
• Knowledge of national labor laws and regulations
