What the position is:

The Onboarding Specialist is a support role for various administrative functions and within the Recruiting Department. Customer service, communication, and strong computer skills are necessary.

Essential Functions:

• Serving as a point of contact for new hires, addressing their questions and concerns and managing the onboarding process.
• Providing necessary information and resources to facilitate a successful transition for new employees and ensuring a smooth onboarding.
• Plan and coordinate the logistics of new employee onboarding, including scheduling drug tests and pre-employment materials.
• Coordinate applicant scheduling as well as travel logistics and arrangements for orientation.
• Ensuring completion of paperwork and following all legal and administrative compliance when onboarding candidates.
• Audit files for accuracy and completion and follow up with applicants.
• Assist with Drug and Alcohol program compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General requirements & qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be legal to work in the United States (A citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work)
• Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with new employees and establish a positive onboarding experience.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• A strong focus on confidentiality and sensitive data
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Previous experience or education in Compliance and/or Human Resources preferred
