Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Human Resources Assistant 4 to join our Aeronautics Systems HR Organizational Effectiveness (OE) team. The OE Team is a center of excellence within AS human resources partnering with HR Business Partners and AS business leaders to assess, develop, and implement solutions that enhance our employee’s work experience and development.  This position is located in Melbourne, FL and will be based on-site.

In this role, you will provide HR Assistant support to the Organization Effectiveness (OE) Senior Director and team. You will work on a variety of projects, in addition to administrative tasks and duties, with the goal of enhancing business processes to run smoothly and efficiently.  

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Manage and maintain visibility of the OE Director’s and OE team calendar; schedule and deconflict meetings
  • Manage the OE Mailbox; process requests, answer questions, and maintain archives
  • Schedule and expense all travel arrangements for the AS OE team
  • Collect or compile sensitive and confidential information
  • Author, edit, and publish the weekly Chronicle communication that provides the AS sector HR team with important information, updates and materials to use in client staff meetings
  • Prepare for, manage, and host, the bi-weekly sector HR homeroom meeting
  • Manage the HangaR, the AS HR team SharePoint site
  • Pull reports and metrics for leadership to utilize in briefings
  • Support administrative activities related to designing and delivering New Hire Orientation events across multiple sites
  • Support administrative activities related to designing and delivering the team’s virtual and in-person, learning solutions
  • Support administrative activities related to in person meetings, offsites, and large-scale employee events
  • Serve as the lead for all HR PrOP (Principles and Operating Practices), responsible for ensuring all HR PrOP stays in compliance with company standards
  • Act as LX (Learning Exchange) Administrator to schedule courses, manage class rosters, and maintain reports
  • Prepare written communications free from spelling and grammatical errors

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of administrative experience; may consider additional education in lieu of experience (Associate’s Degree and 4 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 (including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & OneDrive)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in human resources
  • Passion for human resources, employee engagement, and the employee experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Project Management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office of Microsoft 365 skills
  • Workday or similar HR Information System experience
  • Experience utilizing travel and expense management system, such as Concur
  • Proficiency scheduling and leading meetings in Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Salary Range: $50,500 - $84,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
