Program Overview and Benefits: Republic Airways is proud to offer an internship program that prepares students for the workforce. While we provide resources to help interns sharpen skills and make meaningful contributions in their department, we also provide the following during the internships:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Identifies departmental process improvements and acts as a resource for leaders in different functional areas.
  • Develops new methods of reporting and presenting information to strengthen Company initiatives.
  • Collaborates with HR business leaders to discover ways of providing consistent and cross-functional service to Republic Airways Associates.
  • Builds partnerships with HR business leaders and aids with daily operations.
  • Analyzes and audit benefit data to ensure accurate processing of Republic Airways Associates benefits.
  • Documents Benefits processes and procedures to improve process efficiency and accuracy
  • Analyzes Company resources to stimulate departmental growth efforts.
  • Provides support on special projects related to Benefits, Shared Services and HR Ops core functions.
  • Coordinates and organizes associate orientation classes, ranging from corporate to crew.
  • Proactively troubleshoots on behalf of crew and corporate associates in a fast-paced environment. This includes phone and email communication.
  • Develops creative content and process improvement to better associate experience.
  • Performs other duties, analyses, reports, and presentations as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Comfort with Public Speaking in front of groups ranging from 20-40.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work onsite at our Indianapolis Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation.  Able to maintain confidentiality.

DECISION MAKING

Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require some thought without established precedents or procedures.  Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost. Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results.
