Remote Work:

This position is eligible for hybrid work, within Calgary, under our mobile workforce program. 

Scope of the Role: 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Catering & Cabin Provisioning this position is supporting the catering and cleaning functions of Cabin Provisioning with reporting, mitigating and oversight of stock & supply inventory levels at our vendors and any issue that arise with regards to inventory. The role will also have a handful of supporting tasks that require analytical thinking and expertise to complete (example; schedule reviews, KPI/SLA analysis) and other manipulation of the data we collect and have.    

Key deliverables include: 

  • Supports and influences implementation of Catering/Cleaning equipment and stock management strategy and policies within the department, liaising closely with internal and external teams as required. 

  • Supports execution of product change process in collaboration with XM, including form submission to DC, push plan planning and depletion plan execution. 

  • Supports Ops teams in ensuring that service providers consistently maintain an equal exchange of equipment/stock and that remedial actions are taken for irregularity and non-conformity. 

  • Liaison with our Distribution Center to provide full oversight and view of WestJet inventory/stock levels at our catering and cleaning vendors. Provide recommendations to forecasts and assist in mitigation planning and IROP recovery where needed.   

  • Runs reports on either scheduled intervals or ADHOC requests from the reporting engine of systems and data we have access too, including exporting to Power BI/excel and data manipulation as needed. Includes leading work with external parties on improved data manipulation capability and access to data. 

  • Perform site inventory audits as needed 

Experience & qualifications: 

  • Diploma from College/Technical school or greater  

  • 3-6 years of experience  

  • Supply chain and inventory management skill would be an asset 

  • Computer savvy  

  • Some level of how an airline works is required (CASM / RASM)  

  • Customer service/relations skills would be an asset 

  • Data analysis and business planning / forecasting 

  • Additional training in data analysis applications eg. PowerBI
