Logistics Specialist (d/f/m)

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Logistics Specialist (d/f/m) to join our team “Receiving & Inventory” in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. 

Core business of Satair is the distribution of spare parts, consumable material and tools that are required to operate, repair and maintain aircraft. Therefore Satair is having 10 warehouses globally to ensure the logistics fulfillment for our customers. In the Hamburg area, Satair has its major Warehouse to provide after sales materials around the globe with team members in collaboration in Washington, Copenhagen and Asia to run the logistical business of Satair. 

In our team “Receiving & Inventory” we are responsible to ensure that our warehouse Service Provider in Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel and Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg is able to meet the performance targets in goods receiving and inventory management. In daily exchanges we collaborate

closely with all surrounding teams to improve our warehouse management system and eliminate recurring issues.

• You establish our team structure in the new site in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg with all our focus areas of ‘Continuous Improvement’, ‘Inventory Management’, ‘Process Adherence’ and ‘Performance Management’

• You use your knowledge in logistics to discover new improvement opportunities within warehouse and logistics

• You are responsible for the creation and follow up of process improvements, monitoring aligned KPIs and having daily exchanges with our service providers 

• You will coordinate site related initiatives with relevant stakeholders and the Fuhlsbüttel site to enable synergies and seek for alignment

Equipped with a Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Economics (or similar) paired with professional experience in logistics, warehouse operations and inventory management ideally in an international environment we are looking for you with the following experience, skills and mindset:

• You have a good knowledge of KPI management and analysis of material management data for decision making based on different datasets (e.g. SAP, G-Suite, Skywise) 

• You already have experience in working with external providers

• You have strong communication and emphatic skills to handle different interests closely 

• You are an enthusiastic team player, have pro-active way of working and business oriented mindset 

• You are at a negotiation level in English and German
