POSITION PURPOSE
Performs research and analysis in addition to assisting with implementation of new Maintenance Technology projects focused primarily on the Maintenance Department.  Researches and analyzes cost, processes and performance for the organizations projects, departments and future ventures.

  • Performs data research, collection, and analysis for new Maintenance projects.
  • Consolidates data from various sources and creates clear, concise, consolidated, meaningful reports.  Establishes and manages maintenance performance metrics and dashboards.
  • Develops new reporting and analytical tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Utilizes systems to keep current records and create reports as needed.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support business decisions.
  • Monitors Maintenance expenditures, identifies cost variances and provides explanations to management.
  • Analyzes Heavy Check vendor spend, performs financial analysis, and recommends budget.
  • Performs Maintenance analysis and reporting, identifying potential risks and assisting with the development of mitigation plans.
  • Identifies and assists with the rectification of discrepancies in the operations schedule.
  • Travels to Maintenance bases to support various maintenance technologies.
  • May serve as a project/program implementation lead, as new technologies are acquired.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, aviation or related area
  • At least 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and Adobe required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) training and/or experience highly preferred.
  • Related systems experience (RAMCO, SAP or similar system). 
  • Experience with Tableau or similar reporting tools. 
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Additional years of related experience.

           

LANGUAGE SKILLS
            Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
            technical and procedure manuals.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
            procedure manuals.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the
            organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
            Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
            limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
            diagram, or schedule form.

DECISION MAKING

Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured.  Decisions tend to be short term and usually moderate cost.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Able to travel up to 50 of the time, including overnight travel.
