Wyman-Gordon, located in Worcester, MA, provides Isothermal Forgings for military and commercial turbine applications using nickel based and titanium alloys. Full Heat Treating, Machining and Testing on site. PURPOSE:
To provide leadership, efficient management and creative problem solving, in department related plant operations. Responsible for actively managing production schedules and work in progress in support of the overall Manufacturing plan. Partner with Master scheduler, individual departments and operations leadership to ensure dynamic plan is developed to achieve financial metrics and customer delivery.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Full ownership of plant ship plan and dock $ commits.
- Coordinate with multiple areas to create daily production plan and allocate resources to appropriate equipment in order to meet customer demands
- Creation of daily Schedule based upon plant dispatch, equipment availability and optimal batch practices
- Generation of daily throughput and Earned Standard Hour plans to meet plant operational objectives
- Scheduling equipment availability for preventative and unplanned maintenance events
- Communication of production schedule requirements to supervision, upstream supplying departments, Maintenance and Engineering support
- Coordination of department personnel assignments to assure production coverage
- Identify and implementation of ideas for productivity and quality improvements
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- S./ B.A (Engineering, Business, MIS, Computer Science) preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills required
- Ability to work through complex problems to determine solutions
- Ability to data mine and think of alternative solutions to common issues.
