Working closely with the IT management, customers, and application teams to deliver high quality network services to support the business and plant requirements. Monitoring and maintaining voice, video, data network, software, and security. Troubleshooting emergent network issues and supporting new network requests submitted through the helpdesk ticketing system. Creates and maintains disaster recovery (DR) plans for network systems. Review current network system processes, software, and configurations for improvements.

Duties:

1. Network Engineering and Administration including:

  • Monitor and maintain network systems including software, security updates, and real time notifications for emergent issues.
  • Troubleshoot network, video, ICS and data systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for WAN, LAN, ICS (IIoT), infrastructure cabling, equipment inventory, and equipment configurations.
  • Design, setup and configure network systems for minimal downtime including failover, maintenance outages and disaster recovery.
  • Lifecycle management of the PCC network devices.

2. Consulting with MIS Management on strategic directions.

3. Contribute and conform to the development and execution of MIS policies and procedures including SOX.

4. After hours, weekend, and on-call support for emergent issues or scheduled outages and project support.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree and four years in an IT network support role.

2. An Associate’s degree and or related certifications and 6 years of experience in an IT network support role.

3. Eight years of experience in leu of a degree in an IT network support role.

Additional Desired Skills:

1. IT certifications (network and security)

2. Experience with network monitoring software.

3. Networking cabling and infrastructure standards.

4. Troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software such as meters and packet capturing.

5. Experience and understanding of networking equipment power and cooling requirements in data centers, MDF, IDF and IT closets.

6. Strong organization and communication skills.

7. Experience using Helpdesk ticketing system.
