Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems is seeking a qualified Principal/Sr. Principal Facilities Planner Level 3/4 individual to join our team of qualified, highly talented and diverse individuals for 1st shift Monday – Friday Shift: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (9/80 schedule). This position will be Iuka, MS.

Principal/Sr. Principal Facilities Planner acts as primary contact for facilities department for all space requests, coordinating efforts with different teams and stakeholders, and leading projects through the SPUR process and design conception. Creates graphic communication documents to communicate ideas, scopes of work, material specifications and floor utilization plans.

The Facilities Planner shall be responsible for supporting both internal and external customers in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans utilization of building space and facilities support for company consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency.
  • Ensure project requirements are clearly defined.
  • Assist  with coordinates the planning phases of office and industrial modifications from requirements collection through location selection, and conceptual design.
  • Supports Construction Engineer coordinating the work of employees, engineers, and contractors assigned to a project.
  • Assist in coordinates employee moves, updates Archibus system, and generates monthly reports on space utilization.

  

This role may be filled at a Level 3 or Level 4 based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Facilities Planner Level 3:

  • Bachelors degree with 4 years of professional experience in the following industries: Facility, Construction, Architectural, Space Planning, Interior Design, Accounting, Finance; OR Masters degree with at least 3 years of experience in mentioned industries.
  • Experience with assisting in Capital Funding Process.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR).

Sr. Principal Facilities Planner Level 4:

  • Bachelors degree with 8 years of professional experience in the following industries: Facility, Construction, Architectural, Space Planning, Interior Design; OR Masters degree with at least 6 years of experience in mentioned industries.
  • Experience with assisting in Capital Funding Process.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR).

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Strong knowledge of design process and application of graphic design tools.
  • Experience using real estate asset management and booking software such as Archibus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of design parameters and guidelines, application of Life Safety, ADA and EHS codes.
  • Experience working with Facilities Managers, Engineers, and Project/Construction Managers.

Salary Range: $72,600 - $108,800
Salary Range 2: $89,900 - $134,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
