The Boeing Global Services is seeking an Associate Provisioning Specialist in Long Beach, CA.  This position will be supporting Fixed Wing Programs and include direct engagement with many key sustainment programs.  As a member of the team, you will directly contribute to the analysis of engineering data, top-down break down of provisioned items and utilize knowledge of aircraft parts, components and maintenance data.  Provisioning provides the customer with the analytical decisions that enable the identification of affordable inventory requirements.  Provisioning has impact on several supportability efforts which must be in place upon delivery of the aircraft as well as life cycle demands.

This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting.  The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Long Beach, CA location.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Supports developing, analyzing collecting, and storing various system support technical data elements and specifications for evaluation and assists with making recommendations.

  • Develops, collects and stores provisioning data elements for a single customer and single contract type. Revises data elements periodically based on changes to baseline design.

  • Evaluates engineering data to verify that required parts data are documented.

  • Supports providing recommendations on product supportability and establishing product supportability operational maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for a single equipment subsystem.

  • Assists with identifying and analyzing logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and report.

  • Supports determining spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for a single customer and contract type.

  • Participates in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/ components.

  • Supports reviewing aircraft and/or fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience understanding, and knowledge of, engineering data (e.g. blueprints, data sets, change orders, specifications, logic diagrams, etc.) to interpret, analyze, identify gaps and develop data for support requirements.

  • 3+ years’ experience in knowledge of provisioning process methodology to support production and product development.

  • Strong communication skills

  • 3+ year of work experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 1+ years of experience with Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience developing provisioning data (H-tables) including LCN and PLISN structure in compliance with military standard-compliant technical manuals and standards.

  • Knowledge of Mil-Std-1388-2B, GEIA-STD-0007B and/or S3000L.

  • Experience developing Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP) and Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL).

  • Knowledge of and experience with ISS SLICwave and/or Siemens IPDM Teamcenter.

  • Knowledge of PUBLOG FLIS and federal cataloging systems and data.

  • Basic knowledge of Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) or other tailored supportability database systems and their associated data elements.

  • Basic knowledge of Technical Publications, Illustrated Parts Breakdowns and Maintenance Manuals.

  • Basic knowledge of cataloging process methodology to support individual project and program.

  • Experience reading and understanding engineering models, drawings, specifications and various technical documentation

Typical education/ experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years related work experience, 7 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range:              68,850 – 93,150
