The role: An exciting opportunity to join British Airways as a Risk Insight Analyst has arisen!
Working amongst the wider Management System Data Analytics team, you will be responsible for applying your analytical skills to enable world class risk management through the development and delivery of safety and security insights, metrics, and visualizations.
What you’ll do: - Own and deliver the analytics outputs for safety and security performance review meetings.
- Support the ongoing development specialist projects, tasks, and other duties, including our Safety and Security Continuous Improvement Oversight programme.
- Capture information through studies, reviews and surveys to analyse business problems and identify solutions and opportunities for change and improvement.
- Lead the development of insight tools and methods to help advise, educate and train all colleagues on key safety and security issues.
- Support the Management Systems performance monitoring, Tableau development and insight/intelligence delivery capabilities through data-driven decision making.
- Support our contribution to industry data and analytics programmes, including EASA, Data4Safety (D4S) and IATA Incident Data Exchange (IDX).
What you’ll bring to British Airways: - Solution-orientated with a creative approach to problem solving.
- Eagerness to learn and support the Safety and Security department.
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable interrogating and interpreting large data sets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to a range of audiences.
Your experience: - Experience of applying data visualisation solutions to solve business problems is crucial.
- Recognised safety, security, risk culture, investigation or audit qualification or relevant experience is desirable.
- Understanding of aviation risk management principles and industry regulations is desirable.
