The Raytheon Solutions Design & Integration (SDI) team is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join our Advanced Technology & Integration Center team. In this role, you will work independently, and as a part of an integrated product team supporting a wide range of computing and network configurations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux, Windows, provisioning and configuring workstations (desktop and laptop), and ability to perform racking and stacking server hardware and components.
Success in this role means timely configuration and provisioning of workstations, racking and stacking server hardware and components to meet defined requirements with minimal rework. Providing troubleshooting and integration support as needed.
What You Will Do:
Unbox, stage, provision, and configure workstations, desktops, and laptops to meet defined requirements.
Perform basic hardware checks and repackage/box up client systems for shipping or transfer.
Unbox and prepare server hardware, including servers, storage devices, and networking components.
Perform racking and stacking of server hardware and components into server racks as needed.
Perform hardware inventory by capturing serial numbers, models, and other details in a database.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of hardware and software inventory records.
Install, configure, update, and remove system and application software on Linux and Windows systems.
Harden Linux and Windows server and client installations to meet security requirements.
Apply patches and updates to system operating systems to maintain integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems of moderate complexity, including hardware and operating system integration issues.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with other teams and stakeholders to meet deadlines.
Create, maintain, and update documentation for systems and processes.
Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
Travel required as business needs dictate to other US Domestic locations, up to 10 per year.
Configure server hardware and software components.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks like racking server hardware.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating system and applications
Ability to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification within 6 months of start date.
Experience with provision and configuring Windows and/or Linux workstations.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience performing racking and stacking server hardware.
Experience preparing assets for shipping, including boxing and packaging.
Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification)
Experience with Windows and Linux operating system and applications
Experience with asset packaging and shipping processes.
Experience with configuring and provisioning of server hardware and components and hardware

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
