Ensuring we have the right people with the right skills, in the right place at the right time. You will work in conjunction with Airline Operations, Operational Integrity & Safety, Networks, Digital, People, and Finance, where no two days are the same and change is coming at you hourly.

Applications are now open for the position of Senior Workforce Specialist (12 month secondment) within our Workforce Rostering Team, supporting Air New Zealands Airports.

This role will lead improvements in the delivery of effective rosters. You will ensure continuity and consistency of processes, system improvements, and compliance across Airports business requirements, regulations, and value-based objectives.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager Workforce Rostering, this role will be responsible to:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key business stakeholders and end users to determine requirements, support implementation of system and process changes, resolve issues and to enable them to maximise the benefits of new technology investments.
  • Lead a continuous improvement environment that identifies, recommends, and addresses business pain points through the redesign and implementation of process simplification or improvements that are aligned with key business metrics and assess and communicate associated costs and benefits to facilitate prioritisation of improvements.
  • Contribute to the training plan of new joiners in the team to ensure training needs are met and standardized across all resource groups.
  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and testing of functional systems to ensure reliability and suitability to ensure training/operational needs and requirements are understood and communicated.
  • Contribute to the leadership of the team by providing day-to-day guidance and advice to ensure the development and maintenance of a High-Performance environment and compliance with business requirements, regulations, and standards.

To be successful in this role: 

  • Relevant experience or background in airline operations, workforce planning, or business analysis is desirable
  • Strong communication skills and an intermediate use of MS Excel
  • Have a passion and strength in using data to solve problems and enhance business decisions 
  • Exhibit curiosity and a mindset for continuous improvement
