Job Description:
AccountabilitiesThe jobholder is accountable to help design and implement transversal business improvement initiatives within the Inventory Management department, ensuring the alignment and integration of all stakeholders requirements (IT, Procurement, Ordering…)
Main activitiesA. As part of the transversal team, contribute to business improvement initiatives (internal or external to the area). Identification and evaluation of CAPEX and OPEX saving opportunities through alternative supply chain strategies. Also acting as PMO for the projects already running inside area.
B. Lead the Surplus Inventory Working Group consisting in:
Non quality cost tracking (surplus/slow-moving spare parts), root cause analysis and proposal of corrective and preventive actions.
Supply Chain Risk Management. Analysis of unwanted replenishment and proposal of purchase orders cancellation in order to reduce the risk of slow movers and protect Airbus D&S working capital
C. Contribute to stock surplus reduction initiatives:
Lead discount policy campaigns for surplus inventory in alignment with Finance and Programme Office
Lead spare parts retrofit activity by establishing a sustainable WoW to monitor the stock health, asses cost-effectiveness of retrofits for obsolete spares and coordinate the retrofit process accordingly.
D. Support to financial reporting activities:
- Operating Plan & Forecasts inventory objectives definition
- Financial monthly actuals reporting
- Continuous monitoring of Inventories performances to assure OP financials targets to be achieved, influencing business with the activation & follow up of levers that will guarantee Divisional objectives.
E. Contribution to IT new development or updates to current ones in order to provide efficiency to the business, putting special focus on automatization and digitalization of current inventory control and root cause analysis mechanisms of surplus generation. (Requirements definition, support during IM development and final validation).
F. Supplier forecast generation and follow up. Analyze, maintain and improve forecast and data cleansing algorithms in order to elaborate an accurate demand forecast and supplier forecast (key input for business profitability, levering more cost-effective contracts with suppliers)
Required Skills Knowledge required:
Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Physics
Ability for dealing with large sets of data with an advance level in office package (Excel and Access).
Strong analytical skills. Ability to break down raw information and unstructured problems into specific, workable components that reflect drivers of causal issues. Makes logical conclusions, anticipates obstacles, and strives for superior results in a creative and resourceful manner.
Proficient in Python.
SAP R/3 (Logistic-Production module) expert level, work experience in production, planning, inventory and purchase orders management transactions.
Ability to concurrently manage multiple complex projects, and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment with unpredictable and shifting priorities.
Strong problem-solving abilities. Technically capable of determining “what’s wrong” in complex situations and offering potential solutions; identifies root causes of problems and works with others to create effective solutions.
Strong and conscientious attention to detail and accuracy; solid organizational skills. You must thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company. Demonstrated success working in an ambiguous environment.
Have the ability to understand and analyse Engineering BOM (EBOM) & Manufacturing BOM (MBOM) structure and changes.
