Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring for highly motivated and talented Structures Technical Analysts (Associate, Experienced or Senior) to work at our Everett, or Renton, WA locations.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with a technical skill looking to work within an engineering organization at the Commercial Airplanes Washington Design Center. A Technical Analyst partners with structural engineers to solve complex design challenges by using critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

Within BCA Structures Technical Analysts typically specialize in the following areas:

  • Structural Analysis.

  • Certification, Documentation, Planning/Integration.

  • Data Management.

  • Testing/Test Instrumentation.

As an Technical Analyst (Associate, Experienced and Senior), you will have a minimum of the following responsibilities:

  • Performs limited structural analysis for design, fleet support and structural testing.

  • Develops, uses and maintains data and data management tools.

  • Creates and maintains analytical data and documentation using data management tools

  • Develops the structural environment and detail structural performance characteristics to verify structural integrity using structural analysis methods, math models and finite element models and simulations.

  • Supports the planning, execution, data reduction and reporting of structural tests. Supports validation and verification of systems and components in meeting customers and regulatory agency requirements and specifications.

  • Assists in development of processes and tools to improve structural engineering.

  • Works under general direction

  • Develops software tools that support structural analysis

  • Ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

Work Authorization:

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Experience in the technical field

  • Associates Degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of related work experience as a minimum increasing for higher level positions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of related work experience as a minimum increasing for higher level positions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of aircraft structures, payloads or systems commodities

  • Programming experience such as VBA, Python, and others.

  • Knowledge of database management tools (e.g., Records Management Database, Access, Excel, SharePoint) and/or operating systems protocols

  • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills.

  • Ability to determine, apply, and perform arithmetic operations in order to solve complex problems.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Associates Degree and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or a Bachelor degree in one of the following majors: engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, data management, Data analytics, software development

Experienced (Level 3): Associates Degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or a Bachelor degree + 1 year related experience in one of the following majors: engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, data management, data analytics, software development

Senior (Level 4): Associates Degree and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or a Bachelor degree + 4 years’ related experience in one of the following majors: engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, data management, data analytics, software development

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range:

Associate (Level 2): $56,100 - $75,900
Experienced (Level 3): $65,450 - $88,550
Senior (Level 4): $78,200 - $105,800
