Subcontract Administrator Sr.

Caifornina / Alabama / Arizona / Florida / Washington

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic procurement solutions and complete day to day tactical purchasing functions for various spaceflight systems.
  • Ahare in the team’s impact on all aspects of supply chain operations, driving organizational and policy change to enhance Blue Origin’s bottom-line.
  • Ensure program requirements are appropriately prioritized and implemented to meet the needs of Blue Origin.
  • Competent in company Supply Chain compliance standards, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved to include delivery of production materials that are on time, within budget and meet technical performance requirements.
  • Oversee subcontractor invoices and payments. Handle SOW subcontractor modifications and resolves disputes.
  • Conduct source selection and apply negotiation strategies for contract terms and conditions, milestones, renewal and termination schedules, end of life cycle management, and supplier performance
  • Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.
  • Interpret and apply company, policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, SOX Compliance.
  • Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
  • Maintain passion for solving problems from end-to-end.
  • Track record of working in an ambiguous environment and ability to define processes that can scale.
  • Adept at working with different systems and making recommendations on improvements for both systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related industry experience.
  • Level 3 Role - Requires 5+ years of experience
  • Level 4/Senior Role - Requires 8+ years of experience
  • Experience with SOW Subcontractors, subcontracting, Professional Services and related products/services of varying degrees of technical and contractual complexity.
  • Understanding of US Government and non-US Government / Commercial acquisitions
  • Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience with most Contract Types (Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus)
  • Strong analytical skills, data driven with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics.
  • Must have top notch people and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Data such as specifications & source control drawings.
  • An eagerness to see opportunities, find solutions, implement plans, and evaluate results critically and expediently.
  • Highly analytical and critical thinker.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving.
  • Apply their technical expertise, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
  • SOW Consultant Experience required.
  • Experience working on services side rather than materials and products side
  • Supplier management & procurement contractual experience
  • Excellent oral and written skills, and solid communication skills.
  • Experience preparing and issuing Requests for Proposal, performing cost analysis in support of proposals, and have developed negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations.
  • Experience in constructing various contracting types for major procurement activities to meet the requirements of the programs and needs of the business to include continuous improvement initiatives, and identification of opportunities for enhanced efficiencies.
  • Desired:
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.
