  • High School Diploma or G.D.E.
  • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two (2) years related work experience required, or
  • An Avionics Certificate from an accredited school and one (1) year of related work experience
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, assists in the removal/installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics/electrical systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Assists in installations, modifications, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
  • Maintains required logs and records.
  • Completes tasks within allotted time frame.
  • Ensures work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Checks all work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Complies with company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
Additional Functions
  • Properly cares for and maintains shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal skills required.
  • Computer skills and general software knowledge necessary.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be US Citizen or have work authorization

Uniform Policy
  • Uniform Requirements: Purchase uniforms from designated supplier (CINTAS).
  • Interim Attire: Wear navy-blue shirt/t-shirt and blue work pants/shorts (no denim) prior to receiving uniforms.
  • Suggested Items:
  • 3 T-Shirts
  • 3 Flat front pants
  • 2 Face masks (in case the mask mandate returns)
  • Safety Shoes: Steel-toed shoes required for job duties.
