Benelux Tek Group Inc.  Avionics Technician for one of its clients in Marana/Tuscon, Arizona, US. To lead functions assigned in the inspection,testing, adjusting, assembly, disassembly, repair, cleaning, and calibration of aircraftavionics equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that all work performed complies withapplicable technical data, FAA regulations andprocedures.
  • Works closely with immediate supervisor as well asProduction Control Booth Coordinator to keep them informed on actual workprogress in areas of responsibility.
  • Reviews non-preplanned documents to identifymethods of repair and/or replacement identifying necessary parts, materials andtooling requirements and provides timely estimates for all maintenance onnon-preplanned documents within scope of responsibility.
  • Responsible for the proper execution of parts tagsattached to repairable, serviceable, or condemned parts.
  • Performs assigned maintenance work includinginspection, testing, adjusting, and repairing avionics equipment, such asradar, radio, navigation, auto pilot, and compass systems, installed inaircraft.
  • Inspects components of avionics equipment fordefects, such as loose connections and frayed wire, and for accuracy ofassembly and installation.
  • Tests avionics equipment under simulated or actualoperating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using testequipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters, counters, and circuitanalyzers.
  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective componentsbased on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks,and other technical documents.
  • Calibrates installed or repaired equipment toprescribed specifications. Performs orientation and on-the-job training foremployees.  Ensures that training isdocumented in employee training records.
  • Enforces company policies and safety regulationsand the proper use of equipment and ensures that quality standards are met.
  • Coordinates activities of workers includingassigning work duties for maximum utilization of manpower and analyzing andresolving work problems.
  • Maintains communications within area ofresponsibility, informing employees as to plans and progress and promotingteamwork and cooperation.

Requirements:
  • Education/Training: High Schooldiploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education or training inaircraft maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training orexperience required.
  • Experience: Three to five yearsexperience in related aircraft avionics preferred.
  • Certificates/Licenses: A&PLicense or Repairmans Certificate required. FCC License preferred. Validdrivers license required.
  • Other: May be required to work atboth Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate
