PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Test Technician in East Camden, AR.
 
Seeking a Technician Test candidate to join our team due to growth at our East Camden, Arkansas, facility. In this role, you will work with a team of technician(s) to test, troubleshoot, and help resolve issues on various types of hardware ranging from missile guidance sets, full-up missiles, launch containers, and large wheeled and tracked military vehicles. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tests may involve any manner of variables, including but not limited to pressure, vacuum, load testing, electronic and physical functionality, and hydraulic/pneumatic operations. 
  • Processes may include the use of hand tools to maintain test equipment, install missile or vehicle components, and mate/demate electronic contacts and cables. 
  • Using both computerized test stations and handheld instruments such as digital voltmeters/ohmmeters, the Test Technician will regularly liaise with
  • Production Engineering located offsite as well as local engineering groups to troubleshoot, determine, and accurately document the causes of various test failures. 
  • Interfacing with the US Government customer is frequently required in this position.
  • Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences; lays out and assembles units for production of electronic equipment according to designs and specifications. 
  • Adjusts and calibrates systems as required; modifies electronic equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. 
  • Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. 
  • Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. 
  • Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate the performance of products and equipment. 
  • Assists engineers in the design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications. 
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Ability to work in an Explosive environment.
  • The ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a standard digital multimeter (DMM).
  • Familiarity with advanced test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital power supplies, signal generators, and digital multimeters.
  • Familiarity with the mate/demate of electrical contacts and connectors.
  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge and ESD mitigation principles.
  • Familiarity with working in a 'teaming' environment.
  • Good communication skills, including interface with USG Customers.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9000 systems is a plus.
  • Basic blueprint reading/understanding of schematics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite is a plus.
