Purpose of the position

Reporting to the Resource Planning Manager, the dispatcher is responsible for dispatching agents to customer locations. He/she works under general supervision following clearly defined procedures and policies.

Main tasks & responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with Ground Operations agents, officers, coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Assign individuals and teams to tasks and locations.
• Recognize and mitigate a variety of miscellaneous hazards encountered within the department (e.g. delays, staff shortage,…).
• Record and maintain files and records of staff requests, work, or services performed, inventory, and other dispatch information.
• Inform the on-duty supervisor of any issues out of the ordinary that may need additional assistance or oversight.
• Maintain periodic contact with service personnel to ensure completion of assigned duties.

Your profile

• High School degree
• Relevant experience in the field of airline ground operations
• Good communication, motivational skills
• Proficient in: Outlook, Excel and Word applications
• Fluency in English, Dutch, French required
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a pressured environment
• Sound decision making skills
