Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Rome, New York.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Global Battle and Mission Readiness Division.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Manage, operate, and deploy AWS components, accounts, services, and tools to ensure efficient and effective utilization of AWS resources.
- Identify existing processes and architect automated solutions to enhance efficiency; develop and implement automation scripts and tools.
- Aid in maintaining compliance of the secure cloud environment by engaging with information assurance teams to ensure adherence to security protocols and standards.
- Use DevOps tools such as Gitlab, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Ansible, implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, participating in team meetings, and providing input on cloud architecture and best practices.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability of the cloud infrastructure and applications.
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
- Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
- Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Able to obtain IAT Level II certification such as CASP+ or Security+ within 60 days of start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
