As an Advance Field Service Engineer, you will bejoining our Lifecycle Solutions & Services (LSS) business. LSS focuses onproviding customers with maintenance and modernization services. The FieldService Engineer acts as the primary face of Honeywell for the customer and isresponsible for the daily implementation, administration and troubleshooting ofthe Honeywell HPS products installed at the customer location. The role of anField Service Engineer also includes leading/implementing complex and standardengineering solutions, typically undertaking one aspect of a large project(i.e. Migration, Systems, Control or Safety applications, IT, Hardware designetc), to successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints whileachieving required quality. This includes acting as the primary technicalinterface with customers, establishing professional relationships to ensurethat the technical requirements and solutions are fully defined, agreed, anddelivered within schedule and cost constraints.

Primary Focus: The selected candidate willperform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming,installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advancedHoneywell distributed control systems (EXPERION PKS, TPS/TDC3000). Your timewill be spent validating customer requests, developing/maintaining/improvingcustomer relationships, upgrades/migration planning and execution, all whileensuring flawless and on time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Honeywell at our customer sites.
  • DCS migrations, Complex Spot and Project scoping & execution.
  • Commit yourself to a training and development plan to grow your skills
  • Provides proactive maintenance support, Drives asset optimization for individual customers
  • Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as a customer contact for service-related issues / enquiries
  • Configure, maintain, and solve Honeywell hardware / software issues including: Experion PKS, other DCS hardware / software such as LCN & TPS
  • Upgrade Experion software from one software release to another software release on live control system without causing any interruption to customers industrial process
  • Migrate Legacy Honeywell control systems to Honeywells new technology offering
  • Understand customer key processes and economic drivers to translate those into business opportunities while providing timely research and recommendations
  • Assist Sales during sales pursuits and be the face of Honeywell to end-users
  • Learn the end-to-end product / solution development and delivery / execution of Honeywell products and solutions
  • Use technical expertise of sophisticated Honeywell solutions / product offerings to improve customer experience
  • Actively interface with customers at all levels. Ensures customer satisfaction through oral, written communication and on time reporting.
  • Collaborate with our Global Technical Support to close customer issues.
  • Escalate customer issues thru the Field Service Manager and Service Operations Leader.
  • Provide mentorship and training to other field service engineers to expedite skills acquisition process.
  • Travel 75 of your time to be on location at customer site.
  • Self-motivation and willingness to work in demanding environments with little or no supervision and take initiative to be proactive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills must be able to clearly articulate messages both technical and non-technical.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years prior field experience in supporting Distributed Control Systems
  • Valid drivers license
  • Willingness and ability to travel 75 of time
  • Willing to relocate anywhere between Mobile AL and Jacksonville FL (I-10 Corridor)

WE VALUE

  • Bachelors Degree in a Technical/Engineering field OR Associates Degree.
  • Experience with Experion PKS Hardware & Software, in addition to Hiway, TDC, & TPS system experience
  • Ability to obtain at least one L4 and multiple L3 certifications within 6 months.
  • Software configuration, migration experience, project engineering experience, virtualization, Cyber process control,
  • electrical, or other application experience.
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work safely within the Honeywell/Customer HSE requirements.
  • Experience working in a Field Service Engineer position
  • Be able to work effectively both individually and with a group without need of direct supervision
  • Experience using Windows and Microsoft Office 
  • Experience with PC/Networking Equipment.
  • Experience in Virtualization hardware/software, setup and network configuration
  • Experience Migrating Control Systems.
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex DCS system problems
  • Project a positive and confident attitude focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Design/Engineer solutions to prevent reoccurring problems
  • Able to conduct formal meetings with customer and Capable of writing, reviewing, and / or editing various types of reports
  • Proactively recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements within the services group.
  • Share technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline, and other engineering disciplines.
