TUI fly’s Engineering department is responsible for the technical follow-up and airworthiness management of the TUI fleet.
As Aeronautical Engineer - Structures, you will be part of the Narrow Body Engineering Center of Excellence to support the follow-up of the airworthiness, reliability and performance of the 737NG, 737MAX and Embraer 295 fleet in the Structures area. In this role you will be analyzing and implementing recommendations from aircraft manufacturers and aviation authorities, ensuring compliance with mandatory requirements. It requires conducting cost-benefit analyses for structural inspections and modifications, managing their implementation, and providing technical support for repairs. The position also entails collaborating with aircraft manufacturers for customized repair solutions, maintaining up-to-date records, and supporting various departments, including Airworthiness and Projects, to keep the fleet operational and technologically current.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Analysis and follow-up of recommendations and mandatory requirements issued by aircraft OEM and aviation authorities.
- Make cost-benefit analysis of structural inspection and modification campaigns and manage implementation.
- Provide technical support for structural inspections and repairs to aircraft and aircraft structural components.
- Liaise with aircraft manufacturer to develop customized repair solutions when required.
- Ensure all repairs are performed in accordance with approved data.
- Analyze occurrence and incident reports to provide technical recommendations to avoid re-occurrence.
- Follow-up of technology evolutions and operational requirements to ensure the TUI fleet stays up-to-date.
- Analysis and updates of structural repair records and damages on airplane assessed and performed during line and base maintenance check.
- Support outsourced base maintenance facilities on technical issues.
- Support the Projects department during airplane EOL, EIS and transfers
- Support the Airworthiness department on technical issues.
- Support the Maintrol department during and out of office hours to return airplanes back to service after structural findings and structural accidents during operations.
ABOUT YOU
- You have a bachelor or master degree in Aeronautics (or equal through experience)
- You are highly interested in aviation and want to specialize in one of the above mentioned technical areas
- You have good communication skills in English
- You are proactive and accurate
- You are flexible and have a solution-oriented approach to work
- Previous experience in a CAMO organization and/or in an airline environment is an asset – 5 years of experience in a structural repair or structures engineering environment is requested
