Job Description:
Helitak Fire Fighting Equipment is a business specializing in the design and development of aerial fire suppression equipment.
We are looking for an experienced Assembly & Field Service Technician to join the team at our Camarillo, CA base. You'll apply your expert skills and knowledge in assembly, machining, fabrication, DC electrical etc to assist in the assembly and manufacture of fire fighting equipment. As well as support the Fire tanks that our customers have operating in the Western US during the fire season. Must be a self-starter with broad experience and have a desire to achieve continuous improvements. The role would form part of the service team and will involve some travel to service/install our tanks on various Aircraft.
Assembly Technician needed for ongoing work
- Assembling of key components of the Helitak Fire Tanks.
- Reading and interpreting drawings for fabricated components.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and in field maintenance ability
- Regular hours or a possible rotating roster on offer
- Overtime available
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will need
- 2 years' experience in a similar role - essential
- Experience in a workshop environment - essential
- Be Trade Qualified/Certified or similar experience in aeronautical/marine engineering, auto electrical type of background highly desirable
- A high attention to detail and accuracy, clean and tidy work -essential
- Experience around rotary aircraft- desirable
- An ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- A valid Passport
