Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate or Experienced Quality Engineer (level 2 or 3) to join support our 767 Airplane Program in Everett, Washington.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the development and production of one of the most iconic aircraft in the aviation industry. Position Responsibilities:    

  • Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, Washington.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering or Aerospace related field, from an ABET accredited program
  • Experience working with Quality Standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14000
  • 2+ years’ experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
  • 2+ years’ experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, Boeing specifications (BAC), change, design).
  • 2+ years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BSEE degree and knowledge in electrical wiring design and routing as aplus.
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard 
  • Experience in conducting a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) associated with a complex technical issue
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through diverse approaches
  • Working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) elements

Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation: 
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range for associate (Level 2): $78,200 - $105,800
Summary pay range for experienced (Level 3): $94,350 - $127,650
