Boeing Commercial Airplane is seeking an Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Our Team is currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Manufacturing Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Integrates incoming Emergent Part Request for fabrication and manufacturability capability
  • Conceptualizes, designs and manages the program architecture for build.
  • Defines, develops and implements the manufacturing plan and represents the program as the primary manufacturing integrator throughout the acquire, define, produce and support phases of the product life cycle.
  • Develops advanced manufacturing and engineering technologies and advocates, teaches and deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods and application of lean processes and tools.
  • Interfaces with regulatory agencies, professional associations, suppliers and internal and external customers to implement program initiatives.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience

  • Bachelor or higher in an ABET-accredited engineering course of study. 
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work shipside with manufacturing support and manufacturing build team
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Familiar with fabrication and post-processing of hard metals (ie: Titanium, Sheet Hour
  • Working knowledge of DCAC (PDM & CAPP), Velocity, and/or other planning computing systems.
  • Proficient in GD&T
  • Proven leadership ability in a technical team role and in cross-functional environments.
  • Knowledge of Hard Metal Fabrication and Post Processing.
  • Knowledge of Assembly.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

  • This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Associate Level: $75,650- $102,350

Mid-Level: $90,100- $121,900

Senior Level: $109,650- $148,350
