Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated, talented Associate, Mid-level or Senior Guidance Navigation and Control Engineers to join the Precision Engagement Systems (PES) team located in Saint Charles, MO.

Boeing Defense, Space and Security is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration and test. Flight Engineering is looking for motivated, talented engineers to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area. Selected candidates will work a wide range of programs that will provide state of the art GN&C, performance analysis and simulation solutions to our customers, and will have visibility across the Boeing enterprise into modern GN&C and simulation development methods. Position Responsibilities:

Associate level:

  • Gather and define system level requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) systems or

  • Perform design & analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems, simulations, models & tools

  • Support design reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

  • Support troubleshooting of delivered product operational / service anomalies and incidents

  • Participate in new business development efforts

  • Work under general supervision

Mid-Level:

  • Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements definition.

  • Resolves requirement conflicts.

  • Performs and documents analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems to validate or assess the system design or models.

  • Develops solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction.

  • Designs trade studies to meet program requirements.

  • Works under general direction.

Senior level:

  • Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements and investigates actions necessary for requirements definition and flow-down improvement.

  • Performs and documents design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems and guides experienced engineers in performance of the designs.

  • Develops GNC and mathematical tools and techniques and aids in developing Technology roadmaps.

  • Performs or directs test data analysis and documentation.

  • Presents findings of compliance to regulatory agencies, negotiates certification basis in alignment project goals, simulation and design review per FAA, MIL-SPEC and NASA guidance.

  • Trains and coaches others.

  • Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Saint Charles, MO.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 1&43; year of experience or coursework working with aircraft, missile, spacecraft, autonomous platform or similar vehicle Guidance, Navigation or Control systems

  • 1&43; year of experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX to model systems

  • 1&43; year of experience with one or more of the following programming languages (C, C&43;&43;, Python, Matlab, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance

  • Experience or coursework in Modern and Optimal Control Theory

  • Experience or coursework with simulation and / or system/component modeling

  • Experience or coursework with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques

  • Experience or coursework with implementing algorithms in real time systems

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master&43;3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD&43;4 years related work experience, Master&43;7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range for associate level: $82,450 – $111,550

Summary pay range for mid-level: $102,000 – $138,000

Summary pay range for lead level: $126,650 – $171,350
