The Engineering Accelerated Launch Program is a 5 year opportunity for college sophomores majoring in engineering that includes two paid 10-12 week summer internships, continued part time employment opportunities during the school year and the opportunity for a full-time engineering role with Boeing upon graduation. The initial internship position will be based in the Saint Louis region, with potential opportunities for future placements at other locations depending on business needs.


Selected candidates will benefit from competitive benefits and the opportunity for paid tuition and eligible expenses directly to the university during their junior and senior years of college, while participating in a wide range of engineering development activities to explore the diverse portfolio of Boeing products and services.  This includes educational and immersive experiences, mentorship, and engagement with top-level leadership.  Selected students will work on unique engineering projects in collaboration with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

Over the course of the program, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on challenging engineering projects while finding solutions to real world problems in space systems, military systems, commercial aircraft, technology development and beyond
  • Experience our products up close by touring our innovative manufacturing and research facilities
  • Engage with leaders and mentors at all levels to expand your perspective and awareness of company breadth and depth
  • Build a lasting professional network through engaging activities and social events
  • Gain the skills and knowledge to launch your engineering career!

These positions are expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

These positions require the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during the Summer 2025 and work 1-12 hours per week during the school year
  • Sophomore class standing
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in one of following core engineering disciplines (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Chemical, Civil (especially Structural emphasis or interest), Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechanical, Physics, Software, Structural, Systems, Quality, Industrial Engineering Technical, Industrial Management, Operations Research, and Engineering Mechanics)
  • Currently attending Washington University St. Louis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Exceptional technical experiences as confirmed through technical projects, research or engineering internships
  • Exceptional social and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
  • Passion for engineering, aerospace and a career with Boeing

Engineering Accelerated Launch Program (EALP) Benefits

As a participant in the EALP, you will be eligible to receive certain Special Payments if you execute a retention agreement. The retention agreement will be provided to you and must be signed before you may receive any Special Payments.

Summary pay range: $49,000 - $54,000
