Cyber Security Engineer - Cyber Test Tool (CTT) ISSO

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Cyber Security Engineer - Cyber Test Tool (CTT) ISSO at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for Cyber Test Tool (CTT) approval and day to day security posture   You will lead the effort of submitting necessary EMASS paper work and plans as well as daily coordination with ISSM and SAs on the Test team for the upgrades both hardware and software for all of the GMD elements and support the development of to the GMD Element readiness to test.  You will be positioned to support the customer and flow down requirements and execute critical testing in different lab environments. In addition, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing leadership and direction for all Cyber Security efforts associated with CTT. Security Plan (SP), RTM, Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Report, Contingency Plan, Contingency Plan Test, Security Assessment Plan, Security Assessment Report, POA&M Report, ATO Letter coordination and assisting in approval.
  • The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible to the Information System Security Manager (SSM), information owner, and system owner for ensuring a proper security posture is in place.
  • Developing EMASS packages for both DCSA and MDA approval.
  • Coordinating all Security Relevant Changes to both hardware, software for all associated lab components, and network.
  • Auditing computers and tracking vulnerabilities through Security best practices under RMF rules of operations.
  • Implementing and tracking hardware and software baselines.
  • Working effectively in a rapid paced team environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor)
    and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of
    technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience, 9
    years related work experience, etc.).

Required Qualifications: ​

  • Expert computing knowledge of all of the following: Networking (Cisco), Linux, Solaris, Microsoft
  • Previous System Administration experience
  • CISSP, Linux + certifications
  • National Industrial Security Program (NISP) knowledge
  • DoD  Manual 5200.01, DoD Information Security Program and 55220 (NISPOM knowledge)
  • DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Systems, details policies and procedures for implementing the RMF
  • Extensive cybersecurity risk management framework for DoD systems, referred to as “the RMF,” is required for all acquisitions containing IT
  • Knowledge of GMD System Components, Ground Maintenance Monitor/Launch Management System, In-flight Data Terminal, Ground Midcourse Defense Simulator, Ground Fire Control Communication Network, Ground Fire Control

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.

Desired Qualifications: ​

  • GMD program experience
  • System of Systems Integration experience
  • Strong security background with previous ISSO, FSO, or ISSM experience
  • Knowledge of the Linux OS
  • Knowledge of network programming and protocols (TCP/UDP)
  • Knowledge of Security EMASS development process and previous account access
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

Telework Availability: 100 Onsite but work a 9/80 Schedule.

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$77,000 - $137,000
