GOBLINGLIDER (GG) is one of five contracts falling under the QUIXOTICKOALA (QK) LSMFT. GG is a LM primed contract, collaborating with and implementing best practices and lessons learned consistently as recommended by other QK primes. GG builds upon over 40 years of LM-led execution within the FORNSAT mission area. The GG scope of work is comprised of requirement analysis, design, development, integration, test, deploy, activities utilizing both GOTS and COTS software and hardware for our mission customer along with 2nd and 3rd party partners. The team creates and enhances the capabilities of mission platforms, applications and complete SIGINT systems that are focused on the S, C, X, Ka and Ku frequency bands. The GG mission leverages equipment that is well beyond end of life and the modernization of hardware and supporting software capabilities is a key facet to the work being performed. Along with the modernization, GG is also evolving practices with the transition to a DevSecOps development and deployment methodology. The last element of the GG scope is the rapid development and deployment of systems for unique and critical mission needs.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.

• Perform signal analysis and development of containerized software applications to process them. This process includes modulation/demodulation techniques, standardized data packaging formats, and interfacing with external systems.

• Must have demonstrated experience working with C++ and Python on a RedHat/CentOS Linux platform.

• Works individually or as part of a team.

• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.

• Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

• Experience with Gitlab and Jira
Desired Skills:
• Experience working with Kubernetes strongly desired.

• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design

• Contributing to the design and development of some facet of a fielded collection system.

• Understanding signal process flow from sensor to follow-on processor.

• Understanding concepts of signal acquisition, sampling, demodulation, and decoding.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
