Description:This position is for a mid-career Engineer with a background in Electronic Warfare in the RF and IR domains or other equivalent defensive systems experience. The candidate selected for this position will perform duties as assigned as a part of the Defensive Systems team within the Engineering and Technology organization. The selected individual will be responsible for successful completion of tasks associated with Defensive Systems hardware evaluation, requirements development and payload architecture and integration. The candidate selected for this position will be expected to collaborate across multiple teams/disciplines to complete assigned tasks. General responsibilities include support for proposal preparations, requirements definition, technical subcontract management/support, addressing risks and opportunities, demonstrations, integration and test (including creating test procedures and reports), and fielding technical questions from within the company as well as from suppliers and customers.
A well-qualified applicant will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking skills. Individuals at this level are expected to work across a multi-disciplined team and exhibit frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques; provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity; and work under very general supervision with work products reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy.
Selected candidate must be a US citizen and have a current Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or above Technical Degree
from an accredited college or university in a
technical discipline or equivalent
experience/combined education

At least 5 years of professional experience in
Electronic Warfare, Defensive Systems or a
related field or 3 years of professional
experience with a related Masters degree .
Desired Skills:
- Electronic Warfare background.
- General understanding of Operational Analysis. - Familiarization of system architectures.
- Payload integration experience.
- Technical Supplier/Subcontract management
support.
- Experience using DOORS, CAMEO or similar
database tool.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
